Certain Prescription Medications May be Associated with Magnesium Depletion

Certain antibiotics, diuretics (water pill), anti-neoplastics (anti-cancer medicines) and certain other medications can potentially cause magnesium loss. Some examples of these drugs include:1-7

How can you increase your magnesium?

Eating a wide variey of green vegetables such as spinach as well as legumes (beans and peas), nuts and seeds, whole grains will help you meet your daily dietary need for magnesium.8
